1. Overview
This policy explains how Bink Media uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser’s local storage and session storage) on binkmedia.co. It complements our Privacy Policy.
There are two kinds:
- Essential storage — set by our own website, needed for features you use (such as remembering your pricing region and your cookie choices). It is never shared with third parties.
- Optional Google cookies — for Google Ads conversion measurement and Google Analytics. These are only set after you give consent.
At the moment no Google tag is configured on this site, so we set no non-essential cookies at all and no cookie banner is shown. If we enable Google tools in the future, the banner will ask for your consent first and this page will reflect that.
2. Essential storage
These items are first-party (set by binkmedia.co itself), contain no advertising identifiers that are shared with others, and are needed for the site to work as you’d expect. They do not require consent.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
bm-region | Remembers the pricing region you selected (United States, United Kingdom or Canada) so prices show in your currency. | Until you clear your browser storage | Local storage · essential |
bm-consent | Remembers your cookie choices (analytics and advertising on or off) and when you made them. | Until you change your choice or clear your browser storage | Local storage · essential |
bm-attr | Records the page you landed on, the referring website, campaign tags (UTM parameters) and Google Ads click IDs (gclid, gbraid, wbraid) if present. Stays in your browser and is only sent to us together with an enquiry you submit. | Until you close the tab or window | Session storage · essential, first-party |
bm-conv-sent | After you submit an enquiry, stores its reference (up to the last 20) so the same enquiry is never counted twice. | Until you clear your browser storage | Local storage · essential |
3. Optional Google cookies
These cookies are not currently in use. If we enable Google tools, they will be set by Google only after you consent to the relevant category. Google acts as the provider of these services; see how Google uses cookies.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads: used to measure whether an ad click led to an enquiry on our site (conversion measurement). | 90 days | Third-party service, first-party cookie · advertising (consent) |
_gcl_aw, _gcl_gb, _gcl_* | Google Ads: store the ad-click identifier so a later enquiry can be attributed to that click. | 90 days | Third-party service, first-party cookie · advertising (consent) |
_ga | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors to produce anonymous usage statistics. | 2 years | Third-party service, first-party cookie · analytics (consent) |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics 4: keeps track of the current session. | 2 years | Third-party service, first-party cookie · analytics (consent) |
Currently enabled on this site: none.
4. How consent works
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make a choice, every Google storage signal is set to “denied” (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage).
- The Google tag is not loaded at all until you accept analytics or advertising cookies.
- When the Google tag is active but advertising cookies are not allowed (for example, if you accept analytics only), the tag may pass ad-click information from one page to the next through the page address (“URL passthrough”) instead of storing it in a cookie.
- A Google Ads conversion is only recorded after our server confirms that an enquiry was actually received — never for simply visiting a page.
5. Changing your choices
Because no Google tag is currently configured, there are no optional cookies to accept or reject — the site only uses the essential storage listed above. When optional cookies are introduced, a banner will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to change your choice here and via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
6. Browser controls
You can also delete cookies and site data or block them in your browser settings. Clearing site data for binkmedia.co removes all the items listed above; the site will then use default settings (and ask for consent again, if applicable). Blocking essential storage may stop features such as the region switch from remembering your choice.
7. Changes and contact
We update this policy whenever we add, remove or change cookies. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Questions? Email hello@binkmedia.co.
